Hello everyone,
I had a 5k road race today and it turned out to not by my best but, I cant win them all. It started by it down pouring and I was running late so I had to part a mile away. Then I get to the sign in station and they lost my bib number so they had to give me a new one, then the line for the bathroo was another mile long and by the time I got to the starting line I had about 30 seconds to prepare myself. lol There were 1200 fellow runners at the annual Gaspee Day Road race. I finished in 24.35 minutes a slow race for my average of 23.00. but, at least I was out there and I made the best of the little obsticles that came my way. I feel great!

Congratulations on following through with the race even though you ran into multiple obstacles. Life has a way of throwing them our way every now and again. Through reading your blog, I've noticed that you are an avid runner. For me, running is meditative. My time to forget about everything else and just be. I love mixing it up between hills, trails and around the island I live on. I also don't run with music as I feel it takes away from the meditative aspect of running, for me. Is there a particular run you enjoy the most?
